Golf Singles Guide to Golf Dating

Author: Mike Wyman

There are many ways single golfers behave when taking a potential partner on a golf date. The thing you need to think about as you play your 18 holes is why you are there. Is it to play golf or to get to know someone you may want to become involved with. Here are three quick tips to follow if you are trying to impress your golfmate.

Tip #1: Keep your temper in check. We all know that golf can be a very, very frustrating game at the worst of times. Try to consider that it can also be the best way to spend an afternoon at the best of times, regardless of how you play. Combine that with getting to know someone new and you can enjoy even the worst round of your life. Hold off your competitive urges until you are out with your usual golf partners.

Tip #2: Don't offer unsolicited advice. There is no easier way to spoil a nice round of golf than having your golf partner on your back with tips and tricks to help your game. Most people appreciate a couple well placed tips here and there but be very careful. It can be very annoying to have someone at you for your entire round. It can also be deadly for any potential relationship.

Tip #3: Make a stop at the 19th Hole. This one kind of goes without saying if the golf date is going well. If it's not, that's okay too but you still should stop for a quick drink to end your day. All is not lost in this case because you still have spent a nice day golfing. If it does go well, all the better to cap off your perfect day!
