Expert of Experts: Things HE Didn't Tell Neale About Enlightenment

Author: Drew Kittinger

DK: You know, when I called on that still, small voice inside for inspiration it was to get rich, not enlightened.

Enlightenment is terribly overrated. Dont get yourself into a dither about it.

DK: How so?

The people that reach enlightenment, as you call it, pretty much struggle their whole lives through. They eliminate this for a while, adopt that for a few years, surrender to this as long as they can and praise that for all its worth and, white-knuckling it all the way, they all end up at the same place, acceptance of what is in the moment. And since the moment is forever, and thats all there is, they realize theres really nothing to do, nothing that needs to be done to seek enlightenment, it is there, in all things at all times.

DK: So many of them come down from their mountaintops and start teaching us how to do it. They clean up. Now thats what I call practical spirituality!

If you take a really good look at it, though, the really enlightened ones come off their mountaintops and just go about the business of being in the moment.

DK: If thats so true then why do I have to put up with every enlightened being and her Mother telling me how to get there?

Look a little closer and youll see that its not the enlightened that are doing all the talking.

DK: What do you mean?

Im not trying to take anything away from my Son, but where would he be without Paul?

DK: Paul? The tax collector guy. I know about him. I wrote about him.

Yes. Even you are wiser than you think. Why do I think I picked you?

DK: Ill have to think about it. Okay, so years after Christ got crucified, Christianity was pretty much circling the drain. Then Paul got struck off his horse, had his vision and then pretty much single-handedly revived the religion that had sprung from Jesus time on earth.

Yes. Not only revived, but molded it into the basic format of Christianity as we know it today.

DK: He did an incredible job! Even though some people say he made a mess, still, what a wonderfully enlightened thing to do!

But, remember. Jesus didnt talk much about himself or the way things should be. He didnt have to. None of the enlightened ones do. Not Buddha, not Mohammed, not Confucius, none of them. They dont need to. Theyre all about the business of being present in the moment, and all they talk about is the moment. Where it goes from there is not of any of their concern. The ones who follow, the ones still struggling to be enlightened, theyre the ones who urge the rest of us to get enlightened. Its a free will thing. I just supply the energy so they can talk about what they have to talk about.

DK: And they say its you doing the talking, when all theyre doing is putting their words into your mouth?

Thats what youre doing, isnt it?

DK: Give me a break willya? Im still trying to wrap my head around the mechanical thing of these fingers flying up and down this keyboard on their own. I feel like I'm the Ouija Board.

Remember: God gives you more than you can handle. Its up to you to give it back.

DK: That sounds like something Id say to calm down my target until I can make my score.

Exactly!

DK: I have a headache! All right. So what were dealing with is the enlightened people just go about being, while the unenlightened try to get other unenlightened beings to be enlightened. There is no motion in an enlightened being because he doesnt have to do anything but be, but there is motion in the unenlightened because they think they have to get enlightened.

and I provide the motion.

DK: But, if youre so enlightened, why do you have to even bother?

All I care about is that there is motion. Where things are at right now, thats all this is: motion. At some point even that wont be needed. But in the meantime, that movement is served by certain individuals -- being moved by what they perceive as me who then carry the word about what they see as another necessary step toward enlightenment.

DK: And somehow, either by them picking you or you picking them, the most powerful of these guys, like Paul, get out there and promote, promote, promote, in service to motion, nothing more.

Basically, youre on target. And now youre laughing!

DK: Well, yeah, because all youre telling me is God has no real need to speak to the enlightened, but tends to make personal appearances to Promoters.

Spread the Word!

Drew Kittinger, ShK (School of hard Knocks) consults consultants who want to consult consultants. This is not as easy as it may seem. Consultants are typically so sure they've got it figured out, they barely listen to themselves, let alone others.

So, he'll settle to be that "still, small voice" for the consulting and entrepreneurial world until someone actually listens to him, follows his instructions, gets rich and then becomes his Patron in which case, he'll shut up and let you get on with your work..
