How Healthy are Your Friendships?

Author: Tina Frazer

There have been studies that have proven the importance of friendships among women, and how they can help contribute to a longer, healthy, life.

So, how healthy are you? Do you feel sad, depressed, lonely, or simply not fulfilled at times?

If you answered yes, then the next question is how often do you make time for friendships in your life?

Even if you are climbing that corporate ladder, or you are a busy new mom (or both), or happy in your love life, none of this matters if you aren't surrounded by the connection of women's friendships in your life.

Women need to enjoy the benefits of friendships with each other. We need the love, laughter, and even the drama that comes from those friendships. We need to receive and give support, advice, and most importantly our time to nourish, grow, and sustain a healthy friendship.

Friendship is a partnership that takes two, so be the one to initiate the call, email, or lunch or movie invitation today. Make time to meet new friends, sign up online and post a profile on a women's friendship website.

Just remember, it's very important to share the responsibility of friendship. Make them a priority too.

If your life is busy with work, motherhood, errands and so much more, do not allow this "hectic" lifestyle to sacrifice the benefits and value of frienships in your life. If you want to make a healthy lifestyle change, then put time for friendship on your "to do" list. There is time, ... you just have to make it for yourself. You deserve it.
