Well, according to the latest statistics concerning child health fitness (and my own observance of people where I live), theres a pretty good chance that he/she is. I cant wait to hear from everyone who tells me that they are predisposed to be fat, or they have the fat gene (whatever that is), or they inherited fatness from their great great grandmothers 4th cousin. Well, I call BS. Is it possible that you have to work a little harder to lose some weight.sure. Will some of you have to go that extra mile to accomplish you goalsabsolutely. Is there ANY reason at all, no matter what shape youre in, to not get started on an exercise and fitness program..HECK NO! There is always time, there is always a way to get you and your family in the shape that you need to be in. Parents, if your child is fat..guess what, its partially youre fault. Yep, I said it. You dont get all the blame, but you sure as heck get some of it. Stop going so easy on your kids, stop buying mass amounts of donuts, cookies, lard (Im serious, people actually buy this stuff), and processed foods. That will start cutting the pounds right off of you and your kidsquickly. Let me give you 1 of the EASIEST and SIMPLIST ways to cut down the fatness of your child: 1. Diet Im not necessarily saying to go on a diet, (most diets you see on TV or the internet are complete jokes anyway, thats for another day though) but to control what your child eats day in and day out. For example, lets say on a normal school day your child eats for breakfast: - Ultra-high sugar cereal, donuts and/or pastries, greasy/fatty bacon and/or sausage all washed down with a tall glass of your favorite carbonated beverage.or better yet, one of my personal favorites.a diet carbonated beverage, lol, like thats going to make everything better. If your child eats anything like this on a daily basis, please dont come crying to me when your kid is overweight, out of shape, and cant even participate fully in their PE class. What are we supposed to eat, ChrisI can already hear you guys screaming at me.lol. Let me show you. What if your child had this for breakfast on a regular basis: - Oatmeal (much better homemade, but even packaged is ok), grapefruit (sprinkled with a touch of sugar), whole wheat or similar toast with low-fat butter, banana, orange juice/cranberry juice. Let me tell you, this is an EXTREMELY flavorful and exponentially better way to start your day. Let me open the floodgates before you guys do.. My child will NEVER eat that I dont have time for all that Donuts, pastries, etc. are so much faster and TASTIER (lol) Hold on; let me get a tissue for those tears Is it out of your system? Good. Without bring out too much of my psychologist side, parents..you are going to have to assert yourselves. YOU are the leaders of your household, NOT your bratty little ones (or your sweet little ones either). YOU make the decisions, YOU go to the grocery store, YOU are in control. Its nice to be in control, isnt it? My advice, as always, is to take baby steps. Start small, there are SO MANY variations to the sample breakfast I gave to you above, its not even funny. Ok, maybe a little. But seriously, this is one of the TINY steps that I have been talking about to get you and your childs health and fitness life on the greater path to success. And if you dont think that what you eat everyday is a massive part of this..well, Ive got some oceanfront property in Tennessee to sell you. How much are you willing to spend? P.S.
