Get Your Significant Other Out of the House

Author: Justin Meyer

Since a symptom of depression is a feeling of lethargy, it can be very hard to watch someone you love not move, or do much. It can help them move on and heal, as well as get them energized. There is, however, a good chance that if you would encourage them, it might be a bit of a struggle before they accept your plan.

Finding someplace to go is not a difficult task. You should both go out together, and go someplace where you will both have fun. Finding something more stimulating than a meal or a movie is a good idea, do something interactive. Some ideas are to take a class, find a poker night, or go to an arcade. Since neither of you will be able to sit back and be passive observers, you will both be able to have fun and because you will be in an interactive environment, your significant other will not be able to get as depressed and inactive.

This will also give you both something to talk about later. By giving you something that you can talk about later, you can get your significant other out of the house with happy memories and the thought that there will be another good time coming.
