Bridal Shower Parties

Author: Gail Leino

As young girls grow up, they don't put as much thought into what their dream bridal shower would be like compared to the actual wedding. It is left up to the members of the bridal shower to create an enjoyable, elegant and fun event that lives up to the expectations of the bride.

Often just as much thought, time and effort is put into the planning of the bridal shower as the wedding itself. It's a time when friends and family members can get together and celebrate the upcoming marriage. Blessings will be shared, advice will be offered and best of all, presents will be opened. The bridal shower typically consists of the women who are going to be attending the wedding. If the wedding is going to be held in a remote area like Hawaii, however, the bridal shower given at home is a great way for guests who are not going to attend the ceremony to celebrate with the bride.

Restaurants, halls or private houses are all great locations to hold the shower. Unlike a baby shower, a bridal shower is a group effort. The budget, favors and centerpieces are a few items that can be split up between the members of the bridal shower and the mothers of the bride and groom. For ideas on favors and decorations go to www.bridal-showers.net.

If the shower is going to be held at a restaurant or hall, there are a few things that need to be considered. Can the room accommodate the number of people that you are planning to invite? Are there going to be enough food choices to accommodate everybody's taste? If you have never eaten at the restaurant you are planning to hold the shower at, make sure you sample the food before any decisions are made. The last thing a host wants to hear is that the party was great but the food was terrible.
