Sportsbook is Offering Points to Rutgers Fans!

Author: Bob Acton

As the leaves begin to hit the ground in the Midwest and Northeast, it signals that the College Football season is in full swing and once again Americans favorite sportsbook www.Sportsbook.com is offering a plethora of betting action this weekend.

One of the huge surprises of the 2006 season in the play of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights who are 5-game winning streak as they head to Annapolis, Maryland and a date with Naval Academy. Navy comes off an emotional victory over rival Air Force and is also looking forward to next week when they throw a party for the Irish of Notre Dame.

Yes, I realize that the Midshipmen are a disciplined crew, but there will be some serious celebrating going on this week, as the senior class is celebrating their 4th straight victory over the hated Falcons and one must wonder if they can handle all the hoopla.

Last year, the Scarlet Knights invited Navy to New Jersey and were installed a -6.5 point favorite and did not disappoint the gamblers who played them, as they won 31-21. The question on the football handicappers' minds is how good is Greg Schiano's top 25 New Jersey based team?

They opened the season with a win over North Carolina and that was usually looked upon as a statement game, but the Tar Heels are awful this year. They then spanked Big 10 Illinois at home and have followed that up with victories over Ohio, Howard and South Florida. Navy, on the other hand, has only one blemish on the season and that came at home September 23rd against Tulsa.

Sportsbook is in full swing these days with the baseball playoffs, NFL, NHL, NASCAR and the NBA right around the corner. A simple click of the mouse will open you up to this fantastic wagering superstore!

The point spread on the Rutgers-Navy tilt has been set at Navy -1.5 with the over/under total at 46. The last three years that these teams have played, they have combined for 202 points which is an average of just over 67 points a game.

However, on the flip side of this is the fact that Rutgers has not played in any Division 1 game this year where more then 42 points have been scored!
