What Makes Humans So Unique To Other Life Forms On Earth?

Author: Lance Winslow

Recently there has been renewed interest in a very old question; what makes humans so unique to other Life Forms on Earth and separates them from all other animals? In fact this very question re-surfaced in an online think tank and here is what one think tanker had to say about it.

In answering the question; What makes humans so unique? truthfully without egocentric human bias the answer is probably not a damn thing that is the answer as I observe it. Can you prove otherwise? I bet you cant using scientific methods, selective and alternative observations or any other method.

Another think tanker and the principle investigator in the; What Makes Humans Unique project; an experiment to prove mankind is indeed unique will carry out research to see if it is indeed so. Yet this was challenged by another think tanker who stated:

Why the experiment to prove what is observable? There is nothing fictional about that observation really, it just is. It is not good or bad, it simply is; Humans are animals.

Of course humans are indeed animals, but they appear to be higher-order mammals and have some unique-ness to them that has helped them to the top of the animal kingdom chart and classification, but what is that something that makes them unique? Consider this in 2006.

Currently Lance is retired at age 40 and is running an Online Think Tank Forum while traveling North America. Perhaps considering something extremely challenging to do that will exercise his mind and utilize all his experiences, observations and skills. Any ideas?
